WALKY TORQUAY

Weekend getaways are absolutely necessary to happiness.

Mitch and I went for a last minute trip down to Torquay and we 100% did not regret it. We've both been pretty busy the last few weeks and thought we deserved a chill weekend with a bit of exploring, puzzles and beach. I've heard so many good things about Torquay, Lorne & the Great Ocean Drive and have been keen to go down and check it out. On Saturday we went walking, cooked some dinner in our Airbnb and played boardgames (I learnt that I rule at Monopoly but very much suck at scrabble). Sunday morning we woke up early to watch the sunrise and HOLY POTATOES it was remarkable - the sky does such beautiful things I honestly find it so incredible.

I truly believe that the best part of any experience are the itty bitty moments that come and go so swiftly, like the sunrise which lasted all of 10 minutes. Our Airbnb was decorated with all the mis-matched artwork and books and surfboards... I wanted to disconnect from my phone for a few days but I also wanted to capture the small things that made this trip that little extra extra.

From being inspired by the small towns' truly blissful vibes, from our Airbnb hosts' clear love of surfing (the bathtub was stacked full of them) & his awesome taste of decor, and from the ridiculous sunrise we still can't believe was real life - I present you a mini moodboard of pics, lettering and illustrations!
