When I was around 8 or 9 my Dad used to read me dinosaur stories. I can't for the life of me remember what they were called, and have just spent the last bit of my weekend brain power on searching for them on the interwebs, but they were awesome. I know that if I see the books I will immediately recognize them and all the stories will come flooding back to me. Those were some good times, I'm forever grateful for the abundance of stories I was read to as a child and I think that these wonderful stories is what gives merit to my creativity today.
I friggin LOVED dinosaurs, even my clothes had dinosaurs on them. My favourite one was the Stegosaurus, which also just so happens to be the coolest dinosaur too (read: trendsetter). A few years back at fahshion school I did an assessment based off their shape and the spikes on their back, and here I am again exploring this wonderful creature.
I had a lot of fun with this project, I got a little innovative with PS and incorporated spikes on this chicks head, I thought it went pretty well with the braids. Braids and Spikes, just makes sense narmean?
What do you think of my concept, did the spikes translate?
P.s. I just got the iPad Pro and am absolutely itching to create some magic with it. The 'steg queen' text was written using the iPad Pro and I love how realistic the paint strokes look.
